Senem Örme Tekstil San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. values the protection of personal data belonging to customers, suppliers, visitors, business partners and individuals who contact us through our website. This page combines our KVKK information notice, basic principles of personal data processing, data-subject rights and application procedures, website privacy approach and cookie policy.

Who and What This Notice Covers

This notice explains how personal data may be processed for website visitors, people requesting information or quotations, customers, potential customers, suppliers, business partners and natural persons who establish a commercial or corporate relationship with our company.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness and fairness; accuracy and, where necessary, keeping data up to date; processing for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes; being relevant, limited and proportionate to those purposes; and retaining data only for the period required by law or by the purpose of processing.

IP address, access records, security logs and technical records used to maintain website security.

Special categories of personal data are not requested unless necessary for our activities. If processing becomes legally necessary, applicable KVKK provisions and security measures are taken into account.

4. Purposes of Processing

Why Personal Data May Be Processed

Depending on the relationship, personal data may be processed to receive and respond to product, price, sample, technical specification and quotation requests; manage customer and supplier relationships; plan orders and production; establish and perform contracts; arrange delivery and shipment; fulfill accounting, finance, invoicing, collection and legal record obligations; provide after-sales support; manage requests, suggestions and complaints; improve product and service quality; maintain company and website information security; prevent unauthorized access and misuse; fulfill legal obligations; manage disputes and protect legal rights; and, where required by law, conduct marketing or commercial communication based on explicit consent or another applicable legal basis.

Processing is based on the legal conditions set out in Articles 5 and, where applicable, 6 of KVKK, including express statutory provisions, necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract, legal obligations of the data controller, establishment/exercise/protection of a right, and legitimate interests provided that fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed. Explicit consent is obtained where legally required.

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Recipients and Cross-Border Transfers

To the extent necessary for the purposes described above and for legal obligations, personal data may be transferred to authorized public institutions, financial and legal advisers, accounting and finance service providers, banks and payment institutions, cargo and logistics companies, information technology and hosting providers, suppliers and business partners.

Transfers are evaluated under Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK and relevant regulations. If information technology, cloud, email, analytics or similar infrastructure results in a transfer abroad, current legal transfer conditions and appropriate safeguards are taken into account, including adequacy decisions, appropriate safeguards, standard contracts or other mechanisms provided by law.

6. Collection Methods

How Personal Data May Be Collected

Personal data may be collected through website contact or quotation forms, email, telephone, WhatsApp or other communication channels, face-to-face meetings, business cards, contracts, order and delivery documents, accounting records and other physical or electronic channels necessary for the commercial relationship.

Data may be processed by automated, partially automated or non-automated means provided that the latter forms part of a data recording system.

7. Retention & Security

Storage, Deletion and Protection

Personal data is retained for the periods required by applicable legislation and for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing. When the processing reason no longer exists and statutory retention obligations end, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable law.

Administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of our activities and processed data may include access limitation, user authorization, information-security controls, backups and access logging.

8. Your Rights Under KVKK

Data-Subject Rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, data subjects may have the right to learn whether personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know third parties to whom data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request deletion or destruction under the conditions provided by law; request notification of correction, deletion or destruction to third parties to whom data has been transferred; object to a result arising against the person through analysis exclusively by automated systems; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

9. Application Procedure

How to Contact the Data Controller

Requests under KVKK may be submitted to our company together with information sufficient to verify identity and the request. Applications should follow the methods set out in applicable legislation and the Communiqué on Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.

Where the legal conditions are met, registered electronic mail (KEP), secure electronic signature, mobile signature or an email address previously notified to the company and registered in our systems may also be used.
